This film is about my experience as photographer aboard the Aquarius, a rescue ship that sailed on the Mediterranean Sea saving 29,523 people between 2016 and 2018. Following political pressures the ship had to stop its operations in 2018, around the same time I found out I was pregnant. That’s when this film was born, in the form of a letter to my future son, trying to bear witness of the state of the world at the time of his birth.
