The Dublin Independent Film Festival 2023 is coming on the 9th of November with a fresh programme of 13 independent Irish and international fiction and documentary films. This year's festival will take place at the Light House Cinema, the city's vibrant cultural space.

Featuring two screening programmes, DIFF23 organizes an evening filled with independent films of various genres and styles. The first section of this year's edition is dedicated to International Shorts of the independent cinema. From awarded shorts such as "A Short Trip", which won the Best Short Film Award of the Orizzonti Competition in Venice (2023) to music videos such as Sparks' "The Girl is Crying in Her Latte", starring Cate Blanchett, this programme spans a wide range of themes and aesthetics.

The second programme of the Dublin Independent Film Festival 2023, Irish Shorts, highlights independent gems shot and produced in Ireland. The muli-awarded "Lamb" (Tribeca Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival (first prize - best screenplay), Cork International Film Festival (audience award - best short film), "The People of the Plaza" (Dublin International Film Festival 2023) are among the screening films.

Taking place for the 6th year in a row, the Dublin Independent Film Festival brings once again to Ireland's capital independent cinema gems of local and foreign filmmakers of different backgrounds.

We are looking forward to welcoming a diverse audience of cinephiles, industry professionals and filmmakers to the cosy halls of the Light House art cinema.
